Located in Winter Haven, Florida, Cypress Gardens was founded by Julie and Dick Pope in 1936. The Father of Florida Tourism, Dick Pope created a botanical garden on 16-acres of marsh land; gradually, the recreational area transformed into an adventure park, and thereby, paved a way for the formation of other famous amusement parks as Disneyland and Universal Studios. Well-known for lush-green gardens, beautiful southern belle models and mesmerizing water-skiing shows, it is Florida’s first theme park that attracts hundreds and thousands of people from across the continent.

This tradition was started by Julie Pope in 1940 and has become a characteristic feature of the park. The visitors can also enjoy a number of thrilling rides like galaxy spin, triple hurricane, swamp thing, starliner, and wave runner.
