Located in Winter Haven, Florida, Cypress Gardens was founded by Julie and Dick Pope in 1936. The Father of Florida Tourism, Dick Pope created a botanical garden on 16-acres of marsh land; gradually, the recreational area transformed into an adventure park, and thereby, paved a way for the formation of other famous amusement parks as Disneyland and Universal Studios. Well-known for lush-green gardens, beautiful southern belle models and mesmerizing water-skiing shows, it is Florida’s first theme park that attracts hundreds and thousands of people from across the continent.
